On July 30, 2013, Goodyear Tires announced fiscal reports in Q2 and the first half year. It has gained considerable growth in terms of business profits in chinese truck manufacturers in Q2. Also, the sales volume of tires maintains a rising trend in it four key chinese truck suppliers,which are Sinotruk,Shcman,Jaw,Foton.
In Q2, the chinese truck suppliers contributes 10 million USD to its operating income, accounting for around 6%, but declining 4.5% compared with 13 million USD in Q2 2012. The net profit in this region maintains a steady growth, hitting 1.5 million USD, growing by 10% compared with 13 million USD in Q2 2012.
In the first half year, the overall sales performance still declines by 9% year on year, totaling 6 billion USD; and the net profit hits 4 million USD, soaring by 24% compared with 5 million USD in the first half of 2012.
